1990
Fairly good weather throughout the weekend brought out about 90,000 people. The Pipe Band competition was expanded to a two-day event. In the Highland Games, World Champion Alistair Gunn was edged out by local athlete, Paul Ferency of Easton in the 56-pound throw for height. Internationally acclaimed Celtic rock band, The Clan, released their third album, “Blood Sweat and Cheers- the Clan Live,” at the festival.
