In the fifth anniversary year, year-round programs were expanded to fulfill the mission of education in the Celtic culture. Lectures were presented at Moravian College. The Old Chapel of Central Moravian Church, was added as a site for “Folk Lore ‘n More”, featuring poetry readings, storytelling and musical history presentations. The Highland Games were taped for broadcast by the Sports Channel Cable Network. A steady drizzle on Saturday cancelled the opening ceremonies. Rain persisted all weekend due to tropical storm Danielle.
