1995
Celtic Classic launched a website. The City of Bethlehem tartan was unveiled. The Celtic Culture Series was added and included the premier of Irish playwright Brian Friel’s “Dancing at Lughnasa”, in cooperation with The Theatre Outlet, Allentown. “Dancing at Lughnasa”, was made into a movie in 1998, starring Meryl Streep, Sophie Thompson, Catherine McCormack, Darrell Johnston, and Michael Gambon. Alistair Gunn of Halkirk, Scotland, took home the overall Celtic Classic Championship for the third time. Three Celtic Classic distance records were broken in the Highland Games- the 28 lb. and 56 lb. weight for distance by Francis Brebner and the 16 lb. hammer by Alistair Gunn.
