The Infinity Dance Theater of New York performed “Gilchrist’s Dream,” a Highland ballet that includes performing artists with disabilities. The first Celtic Classic Morning Star 5K was run to benefit the Special Olympics. September 11 caused the color scheme to change from green to red, white and blue. The St. Columcille Gaelic Pipe Band withdrew from the piping competition because one of its members died at the World Trade Center. A tribute was paid to the victims and rescuers. Ryan Vierra won his fifth championship, and local favorite, Harrison Bailey III set a new world record in the 56 lb. Weight for Height; with a throw of 18’ 8”.
