By the Saturday night of Celtic Classic’s 15th year anniversary, when food and beverage tickets and shuttle pins started to run out, it was clear that the festival was heading towards a record breaking year for attendance. By the end of the weekend, over 210,000 people attended, and watched as another record was broken by Ryan Vierra, when he broke the North American record in the 28-pound weight for distance with an almost 92-foot lob. Other events included a marriage proposal before the group Gaelic Force took the stage, and a heartfelt performance of “Amazing Grace” by massed pipe bands in memory of Robin McNulty, wife of Brian McNulty of the Lehigh Valley Pipe Band, who died of cancer.
