Do you have a fun story about your Irish Aunt Rosie playing the piano, your Scottish Nanna baking meat pasties, or your Welsh Uncle Dylan's baritone voice singing loud and clear? Do you have an engaging story about your travel to one of the Celtic nations?  Learn how to write and tell your story at our workshop led by Dennis Boyne. Executive Director of The Lehigh Valley Story Slam. Our guest instructor will explain how to identify one personal story through different prompts and then craft a five-minute version through brainstorming and a writing session. Then, Boyne will explain how to perform your story, and you will be invited to tell your story with the other participants. All levels of skill are welcome to attend in order to discover how to tell your unique story, no matter what stage you find yourself in along the writing process.

To celebrate the oral storytelling tradition allowing Celtic history to be preserved and maintained, Celtic Cultural Alliance will be having a storytelling competition at Celtic Classic in September 2018. Come to the workshop to learn how to make your story the best you can, and perhaps, you can win the trophy and bragging rights as Best Storyteller of the Classic!

Dennis Boyne has led both a corporate and show business life. Boyne has acted, produced or directed over seventy productions. Most recently, Boyne was a member of the improv group known as Improvolution in New York and has studied Storytelling with John Flynn of Upright Citizens Brigade, also in New York.   He is the Co-founder and Executive Director of The Lehigh Valley Story Slam.
